The 5th Festival of Alpine Cuisine will take place on Monday, 30 September 2024, and invites with a programme full of highlights!

The entire Alpine region is the fertile ground for Alpine cuisine. Its credo is to preserve what is good without ignoring the spirit of the times. Unique ingredients, traditional and modern approaches as well as a high density of original and creative producers and chefs characterise this culinary style, making it one of the most exciting of the present day. 

The 2024 Festival of Alpine Cuisine will therefore also address controversial topics such as generational conflicts when handing or taking over a business, the debate about vegan chef training and the issues surrounding lab-grown meat.

For the first time, the Alpine Cuisine Festival will prove that enjoyment and sustainability are perfectly compatible also off stage by fulfilling the criteria of the Ecolabel for Green Meetings. Travelling to and from the event by public transport in SalzburgerLand on the day of the event is also free with the event ticket.

    Panel discussion with Astrid Steharnig-Staudinger, Karl and Rudi Obauer, Klemens Schraml, Michael Feiertag, and journalist and food critic Wolfgang Faßbender.
  • 11.30 am – 12.15 pm | Intergenerational Cuisine
    Intergenerational talk with Hanna and Hannes Müller, Fredi Rohrmoser and Alfred Mössler as well as Bettina and Dominik Edlinger
  • 12.15 pm – 2.15 pm | Alpine Lunch
    With Andreas Döllerer, Viktoria Fahringer, Florian Zillner, Jaimy Reisinger and Christof Schernthaner.
  • 2.15 pm – 3.15 pm | Future Talk
    Panel discussion about trends and innovations in and outside the kitchen.
  • 3.15 pm – 4 pm | "Alpine Memories" by Sven Wassmer
    The Swiss 3-star chef Sven Wassmer from Bad Ragaz will be presenting his innovative "Alpine cuisine" during a live cooking session.

    Culinary discovery tour through the 5th season of South Tyrol, celebrating young wines and traditional food.
